Learn how California State Parks uses inclusion, community engagement and self determination to create rich outdoor experiences for all people. You’ll see firsthand how the organization puts people first during park development and how parks can bring communities together.
Through our Route to Parks Grants, we aim to improve park access for all people, so they can create authentic connections with nature. While we understand that addressing the transportation barrier to park access is multifaceted, this initiative intends to support programs that address this barrier with longstanding solutions that are replicable and can measure impact.
Grant Opportunity: Assistance Grant–Adapting for a Safe Reopening
The California League of Park Associations (CALPA) and Parks California are coming together to present the Assistance Grant: Adapting for a Safe Reopening. The assistance grant opportunity is available to current CALPA members to promote visitor/employee safety, to allow adherence to social distancing guidelines, as well as transition to effective remote work.
